Why this page exists
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), a data controller must inform the people whose personal data it processes. This page is that disclosure for visitors and enquirers of gardeniaglobe.com. The Turkish version of this page is the authoritative one; this English text is provided for convenience.
Data controller
Gardenia Uluslararası Ticaret Pazarlama ve Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi, Esentepe Mah. Büyükdere Cad. Levent 199 No:199 İç Kapı No:6, Şişli, Istanbul. MERSİS 0-3892016164-00001.
Personal data processed and purposes
- Identity and contact data (name, company, email, country) and the content of your request, including any attached file: to receive your enquiry, prepare and communicate a quotation, and carry out the pre-contract and contract process if one follows.
- Transaction and process security data (IP address, log records): to keep the website secure and to prevent abuse.
Legal grounds
Processing relies on KVKK Article 5/2: the necessity of processing for the establishment or performance of a contract (sub-paragraph c), the fulfilment of a legal obligation (ç), and the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided your fundamental rights are not harmed (f). Where none of these applies, processing relies on your explicit consent.
Transfer
Your data may be shared with Gardenia's authorised staff, with the partner factory required to answer your enquiry, with our service providers (website hosting and email delivery) and with public authorities where the law requires. Because our hosting and email providers operate servers abroad, your data is transferred outside Türkiye under the conditions set out in KVKK Article 9, including the safeguards and, where required, your explicit consent.
Method of collection
Your data is collected electronically through the quote form on the website and through email, and automatically through server logs.
Your rights under KVKK Article 11
You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request deletion or destruction under the conditions in Article 7, to request that correction, deletion or destruction be notified to recipients, to object to a result against you produced by exclusively automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
How to apply
You can submit your request in writing to our registered address, or by email to gardenia@gardeniaglobe.com from an email address previously notified to us, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. We respond free of charge within thirty days at the latest.
