Gardenia is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It applies to visitors of gardeniaglobe.com in every country. Visitors in Türkiye should also read our KVKK disclosure, which is the notice required under Turkish law.

Data we collect

• When you browse the site: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
• When you submit the quote form: your name, company, email address, country, the product category you select, quantity, target date, your message and any file you attach (a tech pack or a sample photo). The form is protected against automated abuse; your IP address is held in memory for a short period for that purpose and is not stored with your request.
• When you email us: your email address and the content of your message.

Why we use it and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up on it. Basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
• To keep the site secure and available. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
• To comply with legal obligations, for example record-keeping where a business relationship follows. Basis: legal obligation.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who receives it

• Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., which serves the site and keeps server logs.
• Our email delivery provider, Resend, which transmits your quote request to our mailbox.
• Our own staff and, where needed to answer your enquiry, the partner factory we would produce with. We share only what the enquiry requires.
• Public authorities where the law requires it.

International transfers

Gardenia is based in Türkiye. Our hosting and email providers operate servers in the United States and the European Union, so data you submit through the site is transferred outside your country. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, those transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards. Where Turkish law applies, see the KVKK disclosure.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to answer and follow up, and for no longer than two years after our last contact, unless a business relationship starts, in which case the records are kept for the period required by commercial and tax law. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short rolling period.

Cookies

The site sets one functional cookie, which remembers the language you chose (English or Turkish). It contains no personal data. We do not set analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Write to gardenia@gardeniaglobe.com and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in Türkiye, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK).

Children

This site is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
